Emma McClarkin, MEP
Emma is the youngest British Member of the European
Parliament. Having been a political activist from a young age, Emma has
always been passionate about politics. After working in Law, Emma decided to
become more involved in Politics, and has been working for the Conservative
Party in the East Midlands Region for in various roles for about 10 years.
Directly before being elected in 2009, Emma worked for the Rugby Football Union
as their Government Relations Executive.
Emma is now one of five elected MEPs for the East Midlands
region. Since elected, Emma has been appointed Conservative Spokesman on the
Culture and Education and Sport Committee in the European Parliament, as well
as being a member of the Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee and
International Trade Committees. Emma is also a member of the Special Committee
on Organised Crime as well as Co-Treasurer for the ECR group.
