Updated eco-profiles of EPS, ABS and SAN are now available

Updated eco-profiles for EPS, ABS and SAN are now available and can be downloaded from the eco-profile page of the Plastics Europe website. This page is part of the Plastics & Sustainability rolling menu. By entering the e-mail (and if done for the first time, equally name and company name) access is given to the overall polymer production flowchart. By clicking on respectively the EPS, ABS or SAN boxes and again clicking on the small triangle, a package of information including a complete report and dataset in several formats can be downloaded.

Eco-profiles provide information on the quantity of resources used from and emissions to the environment for the production of one kg of polymer. This information is highly appreciated in all value chains and essential for Life Cycle Assessment of plastics applications in support to arguments about their sustainability.

EPS stands for Expanded Polystyrene.
ABS stands for Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene
SAN stands for Styrene Acrylonitrile

More information about these polymers can be found in the "What is Plastics" section of the website.
