Talking to each other is always better than talking about each other

„Talking to each other is always better than talking about each other", Rüdiger Baunemann, Regional Director of PlasticsEurope said while summarizing the conference. Learning from different experiences and pragmatic cooperation are essentiell, he concluded, and it was obvious that the audience shared his view.

Building on the 2013 events in Brussels and Vienna related to plastics and health, the conference covered a wide range of topical issues from consumer protection, from plastics in food contact over drinking water materials, indoor air quality and cosmetics to plastics packaging. The 2-day-event was attended by more than 60 participants from industry, authorities, academia and research institutes. It aimed to provide insight on how to address, deliver and cooperate in the area of science and research behind consumer protection and had a special focus on intensive dialogue and discussion. In his closing speech Rüdiger Baunemann showed very content with the conference‘s  concept and course.

In November, the dialogue will continue in Brussels.  PolyTalk 2014 will gather captains of the world petrochemical industry and related markets, European policy makers and representatives of civil society to address a range of issues vital to a genuine sustainable European growth in a global economy. Registrations are still possible.
